It's official! The Bronson's are moving to New York, New York in July.
My last Sunday at CUC is July 12th and you will receive an invite this week for my going away party on that day. Luke, my husband, will be starting medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem which is on the island of Manhattan. We are searching for housing, daycare, and I am looking for my next call at a church up there. We are so grateful for the time we have had at CUC, you all have helped to inform and support my call as a Pastor in so many ways! We hold both the sadness and grief of leaving this place in tension with the joy of a new adventure!
What's Next?? Kate Davis, a member here of CUC, has been hired as the Director of Children's Ministry! She is a gifted leader, communicator, and teacher. Kate comes with years of church and ministry experience in all different settings, and we cannot wait for her to continue shaping the Children's Programs at CUC. Kate is married to Bryan, and they have three kids: Norah, Sage, and Leon and an adorable dog named Cookie! Kate will continue in her role in Communications at the church as she starts Children's on July 1st! Please join me in giving a big welcome to Kate Davis!

We celebrate Samantha and her leadership at CUC. Her final Sunday has not yet been set. Once it is confirmed, we will plan a send-off for Samantha and her family—everyone will be invited.
As we look ahead, the SPRC (Staff Parish Relations Committee), in partnership with Samantha, Jeannie, Jill, and the Next Generation Committee, will review program needs, update job descriptions, form an interview team, and begin the hiring process. We plan to hire one director or two part-time directors to focus on Children and Youth Ministry. We know CUC values vibrant programs for kids, youth and families.
The goal is to bring the right candidate(s) on board over the summer. We will keep you informed as the process moves forward.

Samantha announced she would be moving to NYC making her last day July 12th.
CUC announced that Kate Davis will start her role as Director of Children's Ministry in addition to her current role as Director of Communication starting July 1st. The Counsel and Pastoral Staff will create a job posting for a Director of Youth Ministry.
